Start Assembly Instructions For Ortho-Back |
There are four items in your package:
- (A) BACK PLATE with a patented dome with vertical elliptical protrusion configuration that fits into the small of the lower back.
- (B) FRONT PLATE for abdomen.
- (C) 2 Black LOOP STRAPS 2 inches wide and 27 inches long, with an attached hook. Each strap loops around front plate to secure the strap.
- (D) 2 Black, Dual-Sided 4" "floating" HOOK PADS to lock straps to back plate.
|
Follow the following Steps:
- Each 27" strap has an attached "hook" tab at one end. The "rough" side of the hook tab must face out from the front plate so it can loop through the abdominal front plate and attach to the strap. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU THREAD THE STRAPS THROUGHT THE FRONT PLATE FIRST. Thread attached hook tab (end of the 27" strap) through the front plate from the inside of the front plate to the outside and attach to the outside of the strap, as shown in the Figure 1, and lock in place. Do the same with the other 27" strap so both straps have secured the front plate.
Stand the front plate on a flat surface and position the back plate so that the name is upright and the patented dome protrudes toward the front plate (so it will fit in the small of your back).
 - Pass the end of the strap without the attached "hook", through the slot on the back plate from the outside of the plate to the inside about 6 inches, as shown in the Figure 2.
- Take one of the 1 1/2 x4" unattached hook pads and attach it under the strap at the end so that the straps will attach to one another and only the cloth will be against your body.
- Repeat same process on other side of belt. See Figure 2
Fitting Instructions
The Ortho-Back belt is designed to be custom fit to the user. To make the belt smaller, either pass the strap, as indicated in (3) above, more than 6 inches or cut part of the strap and pull through 6 inches again. Once your waist size is set for comfort and support leave the side straps attached and only open the front of strap on one side to remove or replace your Ortho-Back. The Ortho-Back may be worn outside or inside clothing. A cotton tee shirt or tank top may be used under the Ortho-Back to prevent excess perspiration. If you are desirous of reducing waist size, be it through muscle toning or a temporary loss of moisture, Ortho-Back will not harm your skin if applied directly. The back plate should be placed in the small of the back and the front plate should be placed directly opposite the back plate, as show in the figure to the right. Some users may reposition the belt, but you should start at this position. It should fit snuggly, but not too tight.
